Holiday Card Project 2007This year marks deviantART's fourth annual Holiday Card Project! With the goal of bringing a little cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the Holiday Card Project connects deviants from all around the world and applies their tremendous artistic abilities in designing and creating get well holiday cards.Holiday Card Project 2007 by Heidi
Last year the Project received well over 1200 holiday cards sent in by more than 700 deviants from 44 different countries/political regions. Those cards were then divvied up and distributed in person by dA members at the UCI Medical Center in Orange, California. Extra cards were given to various hospitals in the U.S. and Canada for their staff to hand out to patients.
The idea behind the Holiday Card Project is to simply try and do something nice for others. However, if that isn't enough incentive, every deviant who submits a card will be given a free one month subscription to deviantART,

n. that sense by which anything material is perceived by means of physical contact.
For this deviously ONEderful contest, I've decided to choose only one of the five senses to motivate your creative genius. Not sight, hearing, taste, or smell, but touch. It is the basis of society, the tool of technology, and the reason we went out with that girl last Friday. The sense of touch influences our daily lives in a way no other sense can. Deviants must create an image that somehow depicts the sense of touch.
All works of art should be completely original (Started and finished after discovering this contest.)All entries must be created using a visual medium. Fine Art mediums will generally be accepted; Photographs, Paintings/Drawings, Digital Paintings/Drawings, and Sculptures are all great. Please stay away from emoticons and other similar art forms.Mature content within entr

In this thrilling interview we are featuring Digital Artist and Graphic Designer Ian Field-Richards a.k.a. zilla774. Although his mostly sinister horror imagery might suggest otherwise, Ian is really just a normal talented guy who has found his way of getting those little demons out of his head. Deviously artistically, creatively skillfully, all thrilla, no filla. That's Zilla!
Let's get started with this thrilla. Tell us a bit about yourself, Mr. Zilla.

|Hello! My name is Alicia and I am a professional photographer and retoucher in the Washington, D.C. area. I have a BFA in Photography and run my own Photography and Design business. While I love photography and plan to do it the rest of my life, I will be attending law school in the Fall of 2015. Some might find that strange, but I plan on representing artists like myself who feel their rights are worth fighting for by a person who is as passionate about art as they are.|
